Frequently asked Questions:

1. What size PC computer cover do I need?
Universal size. Standard PC cases are about 7-8" wide, 17.5"deep, and 13-19"High. The Valley™ cover is sized to fit all of them. Measure your case height [X] and ADD 0.5" to the measurement and the depth and add 3".

2. Will a plastic PC Cover overheat my computer?

No. The filters prevent dust from coating and insulating internal computer components where it can cause intense heat buildup. However, you must take care to properly change your air filters and replace them regularly.

3. How are Valley Plastic™  PC Computer Covers Installed?

1.  Place your PC into the Valley™ plastic computer cabinet by opening the clear Lexan access door.
2.  Open the sliding door in the back and insert the line chord and cables in the center hole just above it right between the cross hair patterns in the polyethylene film. Then connect the cables by hand through the sliding access door.
3. Plug the power chords into a surge suppressor strip. Plug that into the 110 volt wall socket.

5. How will I know when to change my Valley plastic™  PC filters  with top filter?

The Valley™ plastic PC filter captures dirt on the outside, making it easy to  .  You just undo  the clasp  and dispose of the composite filter as one piece. I change mine every 10 days to 2 weeks.

6.How dirty do the filters get on the inside surface since the air is sucking inward?

I have never seen any discoloration of the bottom of the flat filter section. The reason is simply that 70% of the dust is captured from the  top filter. It catches almost all of the visable dust particles and those that you cannot see under 10 microns in diameter.

7. I understand that there is an uppper duct section in the enclosure. How often do I have to change the secondary filter?

These filters use the Dupont technology for mechanical dust particle air filtration so they last up to 6 months each and you a set with the enclosure. This is an improvement over the traditional electrostatic air filters in use in elctronic enclosure systems.

8. If I buy the standard dust enclosure system regardless of the size or dimensions of this enclosure will I still be able to use the automatic dust sensor and control box?

Yes

9. I have fine dust particles that are shorting out our hard drives.I am looking at the pictures on the website I am unsure if the positive air flow would be able to prevent any dust from entering the exhaust section in the back wall. Is there an accessory available that can help me?

Yes we have sintered porous plastic that can be your exhaust section. This makes it very clear and user friendly as the sintered material has no visable holes for you to perceive that dust would pass through it.

10. So how does the chemical vapor unit work?

There are at least 2 types of pourous plastic or different micron particle sizes that are in the duct section of this universal cabinet. The smaller size is the inlet filter to the lower section of the dust enclosure. The larger micron size is to allow the gas vapors to pass through an exhaust through the rear section. Once the gas which is more dense than air passes through the gas cannot pass back into the duct because of the positve air flow. Then  the air is purified with an Vapor Phase emitter which can be selected specifically for the type of gas even corrosives. Finnally with the dupont mechanical air filtration is used once again to help the active carbon or activated alumina air filters absorb the gas particles so that the air is then finnally purified.

11. That sounds great and all this is retrofitted to the standard enclosure systems for industrial electronics.

Yes. The size of the enclosure or whether or not it is a touch screen enclosure or a server or even a laptop all have the same structural design in order to properly function. These filters fit into the dust section  which removes with a few screws. Others are slidingly removable.
